$50B coastal restoration in La. expected to be boon

Louisiana’s $50 billion coastal restoration plan, to be implemented over the next 50 years, is expected to boost the state’s construction industry, based on a report commissioned by the nonprofit organization Restore Louisiana Now. The plan would involve rebuilding barrier islands and hurricane storm surge protection, which would create more than 109,360 jobs and have an economic impact worth billions.
