$585M contract awarded for Houston loop-road project

The Texas Department of Transportation awarded a $585 million contract to Grand Parkway Infrastructure to build a section of the $1.28 billion State Highway 99 Grand Parkway, a 184-mile loop road around Houston. The company is a consortium among Ferrovial Agroman Construction, Webber LLC and Granite Construction, and work on additional toll lanes and 74 bridge reconstructions is expected to begin in the fall.
