AC Hotel development in Asheville, N.C., gains approval

A proposal to convert the parking garage site of a building in downtown Asheville, N.C., into an AC Hotel by Marriott has received approval following a design review. Plans call for a 132-room hotel with a parking garage on what is now the BB&T building’s parking area, and, eventually, a larger boutique property to renovate another building.
