Atlantic City casino hotels saw 92% occupancy in 2014

Average hotel room rates in Atlantic City, N.J., climbed 10 percent in 2014, according the Hotel Price Index, and the casino hotels reported occupancy rates of 92 percent last year, an increase of almost 1 percent, according to the state’s gaming enforcement division. Atlantic City had fewer hotel rooms after a few casinos closed in 2014, and experts say hotel rates rose due to less inventory. Read the American City Business Journals/Philadelphia story here
