Texas-based Brookshire Brothers has acquired the 25-store Waldrip-family-owned David’s Supermarkets chain in north and central Texas. Brookshire Brothers plans to convert 15 of the David’s stores to Brookshire Brothers banners, while nine will retain the David’s or David’s Express banners and one will continue as Pecan Foods.
