Cabana Bay Beach Resort at Florida’s Universal Orlando Resort to expand to 2,200 rooms

Universal Orlando Resort in Florida will expand the Cabana Bay Beach Resort with 400 new rooms, which will boost the hotel’s total room count to 2,200. The new units are expected to open in 2017, and some will feature views of the Volcano Bay water park, which is in development and also slated for a 2017 opening. The 1,000-room Sapphire Falls hotel is also under construction and set to open next year. Read the Orlando Sentinel story here
