Construction sector added 6,000 jobs in July

Nonfarm payrolls were up 215,000 in July, according to today’s data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. This was in line with economists’ expectations. The construction sector added 6,000 jobs. The unemployment rate stayed steady at 5.3%. May and June numbers were revised up 14,000 over what had been previously reported. Read the Bloomberg story here
