The Dallas-based Corner Bakery will open a new restaurant recently on the corner of Rio Salado Parkway and Mill Avenue. The new restaurant at 222 S. Mill Ave. marks the fourth to open in the Valley and second under franchise group Blue Mountain Cafes, which inked a deal in 2013 to open up to 15 locations across the Valley within six years. The group’s third restaurant is planned to open in Phoenix’s Biltmore neighborhood later this year. Its first franchise opened last year in Scottsdale.
