Domestic tourism to Hawaii to increase in 2014

The University of Hawaii Economic Research Organization predicts U.S. visitors to Hawaii will increase in the second half of the year. Airlines have boosted capacity to the islands of Kauai, Maui and the Big Island of Hawaii. Visitors may also be drawn to lower hotel rates on the smaller Hawaiian islands compared to prices on Oahu, where occupancy has been peaking over the past few months.
