Elegant new hotel opens in Nantucket, Mass.

The perfect Nantucket hotel has been something of an elusive concept on the island for quite some time. There’s a generation of rustic (read: unrenovated) inns that maybe went a bit too far with the nautical theme or made guests feel like they were staying in a relative’s attic. And then, perhaps, the pendulum swung too far in the other direction, giving Nantucket—an old whaling village with a history as a blue-collar town—a bit too much chic.
