Ferndale, Mich., will get mixed-use new development

The city of Ferndale, Mich., approved a mixed-use development with first-floor retail in the downtown area. Developer Arbor Development will clean up contamination at the 1.2-acre property with a $2.2 million tax break given over the next 15 years.
