Kimpton to convert historic Chicago building into hotel

Kimpton Hotel & Restaurants has bought the landmark New York Life Building in Chicago and will spend $106 million to redevelop the property into a hotel. Plans call for a 281-room hotel with meeting facilities, 9,500 square feet of ground-floor retail space, a ballroom on the top floor and a restaurant and bar. Read the Chicago Tribune story here
