Marriott golf resort in Fla. sold to Carey Watermark Investors

Carey Watermark Investors has acquired the Sawgrass Marriott Golf Resort & Spa in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., from an affiliate of Goldman Sachs and Petra Capital Management for an undisclosed amount. The property includes a 511-room resort, 70,000 square feet of meeting space and a fitness center. The new owner plans to spend $25 million on property improvements. Read the GlobeSt.com story here
