N.Y. plans to acquire Niagara Falls hotel that once hosted Marilyn Monroe

A New York state agency is buying a Niagara Falls hotel, closed since 2007, that’s noted for a 1952 stay by Marilyn Monroe. In an effort to boost the city’s lagging economy, USA Niagara Development Corp. has agreed to pay $4.4 million for the Hotel Niagara. Read the ABC News/The Associated Press story here
