PwC forecasts higher U.S. revPAR growth in 2012

Improved demand in the group and business segments as well as stronger pricing will allow U.S. hotels to increase revenue per available room this year faster than previously anticipated, PricewaterhouseCoopers reports. PwC upgraded its projected 2012 revPAR growth to 7.2 percent, from 6.5 percent predicted in June. The company says it expects the strongest growth to come from hotels in the high-end segment.
