Report proposes $71.4B NYC transit merger plan

The nonprofit Regional Plan Association has issued a report that suggests merging the Long Island Rail Road with Metro-North and New Jersey Transit. The $71.4 billion merger would be completed over 30 years, and the plan calls for 60 new stations and more than 200 additional miles during that period. Read the Construction Dive story here
