California’s Inland Empire region, east of Los Angeles, could create around 3,500 retail jobs this year, analysts say, and leasing has been stable there, as about 2 million square feet of retail has been absorbed since mid-2012. The pipeline includes a Wal-Mart Supercenter; a 280,000-square-foot, Target-anchored center; and a $200 million project with 72,000 square feet of retail space.
