Retail to transform Lower Manhattan when the cranes come down

The cranes and construction pits that have been a part of Lower Manhattan in New York City for more than 10 years will largely depart next spring, making way for two major retail projects. The World Trade Center retail complex will feature 150 stores ranging from Duane Reade to Tom Ford, and Brookfield Place will boast luxury brands including Hermes and Burberry.
