Retailers’ store opening plans grow more ambitious

U.S. retailers’ plans for store openings keep growing and have reached a four-year high in July, according to the August edition of National Retailer Demand Monthly. Over the next two years retailers will open a total of 78,325 stores, an 11 percent increase over projected store openings at the end of last year.
