Construction has begun on a 14-mile light-rail extension in Seattle. The $3.7 billion East Link project will include the construction of 10 stations, a tunnel and a pedestrian bridge. Guy F. Atkinson Construction will build the tunnel, and general contractor/construction manager partners Kiewit and Hoffman Construction will install track and build two stations.
