Toledo, Ohio, retail market vacancies down, rates up

The metro Toledo, Ohio, retail market is improving, says local commercial real estate firm the Reichle Klein Group, which adds that the area’s retail vacancy rate is now at 12.5 percent, down from 12.9 percent midyear. The average lease rate is now $7.60 per square foot, up from $7.43. There were 301,260 square feet of new retail space under construction at the end of the year, nearly all of them pre-leased.
