Tropicana acquires St. Louis casino for $260M

Lumière Place Casino & Hotels in St. Louis has officially been sold to Tropicana Entertainment for $260 million in cash. Pinnacle Entertainment put the casino on the market as part of an agreement with the Federal Trade Commission following Pinnacle’s merger with Ameristar Casinos Inc. Tropicana Entertainment operates eight other casinos, including properties in Nevada and New Jersey. The Lumière will retain its name. Read the American City Business Journals story here
