Work starts on $508M modernization project for LAX’s Terminal 1

The $508 million renovation of Terminal 1 at Los Angeles International Airport has started. The project, which will create 1,500 construction jobs, will feature an expanded passenger screening area, seismic retrofitting, a new facade and other improvements.
