Chesapeake Lodging purchases second W Hotel in New Orleans

Chesapeake Lodging Trust has closed on its acquisition of the 410-room W New Orleans hotel for $65 million, according to HotelsMag.com. The sale follows Chesapeake’s purchase of the W New Orleans–French Quarter earlier in April. Plans call for the property to be rebranded as a Le Méridien hotel after a $29 million renovation.
