Food Lion debuts new store format in N.C.

Food Lion has unveiled its newest format at a remodeled store in North Carolina, as part of an effort to fulfill its “easy, fresh and affordable” strategy. Features include faster and easier checkout, a different bagging system, lower top shelves, an expanded gluten-free department and a garden cooler that keeps produce fresher for longer.
