Chesapeake Lodging buys San Francisco hotel for $147.2M

The 337-room JW Marriott San Francisco Union Square has been sold to Chesapeake Lodging Trust for $147.2 million. Chesapeake will pay for the hotel using the proceeds from the sale of the 153-room Courtyard Anaheim in Anaheim, Calif., and a public offering of 4.2 million common shares.
