New NYC center used proven best practices in build

The Mall at Bay Plaza in the Bronx is a new $300 million, 780,000-square-foot facility that boasts “timeless” design. Project architect Ronald Altoon said he tried to avoid common mistakes that other retail centers have made that have led to decreased traffic, and instead built entrances from each of the parking garage’s three floors and the food court on the highest level.
