First phase of multibillion-dollar expansion starts at Orlando, Fla., airport

Heavy equipment and cranes mark the start of $1.1 billion in expansion at Florida’s Orlando International Airport. Crews are building a six-story parking garage and train depot and making improvements to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection area. Much of the work should be finished by 2017.
