$1B redevelopment begins at vacant Chicago hospital

A groundbreaking ceremony was held for a $1 billion redevelopment at the historical Cook County Hospital in Chicago, a 102-year-old building with a Beaux Arts facade. The mixed-use development may contain medical, hotel, residential and retail space, as well as a museum, and Walsh Construction is the contractor for the long-vacant building.
