Ambassador Hotel in Amarillo, Texas, to undergo overhaul

The 262-room Ambassador Hotel in Amarillo, Texas, is undergoing a makeover ahead of a planned rebranding as a Wyndham Garden Hotel. First Capital Real Estate Investment, which completed its purchase of the property in May, is investing more than $5 million in upgrades to the hotel’s room furnishings, common areas and conference space, and the addition of a new restaurant and a new bar.
