Bass Pro to transform troubled pyramid in Tenn. city

Bass Pro Shops is in the process of transforming a 32-story glass-and-steel pyramid in Memphis, Tenn., into a 535,000-square-foot sporting retail hub. Originally built as an arena, the pyramid failed in its mission to become the building that defined the city. Plans call for a 100-room hotel, shooting and archery ranges and a bowling alley that will seem as if it’s underwater. Read The New York Times story here
