Cartier moves to renovate NYC flagship

French jeweler Cartier will close its flagship on New York City’s Fifth Avenue for two years for renovations, and move north to space in the General Motors Building, which may become a permanent second store after the original reopens. The original store sits in a 1905 Italian Renaissance-style building bought by Pierre Cartier in 1917 and last remodeled in 2001. Read The New York Times story here
