Host Hotels & Resorts has made joint ventures with several developers to build a hotel in Nashville, Tenn., and two hotels in Brazil. Host’s planned 255-room Hyatt Place is expected to open in downtown Nashville at the end of 2013. Meanwhile, the company plans to open a 255-room Ibis Hotel and a 150-room Novotel Hotel in Rio de Janeiro in 2014, ahead of the 2016 Summer Olympics Games.
