Ill. DOT plans to spend $11.2B over next 6 years

During the next six years, Illinois roads and bridges could see an infusion of $11.2 billion if the state Department of Transportation’s plan is approved. Projects would include a $478 million project to replace the Interstate 74/US 6 bridge and a $68 million plan to overhaul 38 bridges on I-90, I-74 and the Kennedy Expressway.
