Indianapolis-based Simon Property Group plans to build an outlet center on 50 acres in the Indianapolis area, sources say. The potential project points to the resilience of brick-and-mortar retail, despite the growth in e-commerce; a recent Simon study found that retail centers are still a major destination for all demographic groups, including millennials.
