STR reports record-breaking hotel demand in July

Data released by STR show that the U.S. hotel industry sold 1.06 million room nights in July – the most room nights sold in a single month since STR began tracking hotel-performance data in 1987. Revenue per available room during the month rose 4.3 perent, while average daily rate and occupancy climbed 3.8 percent and 0.5 percent, respectively, STR reports.
