University of Maryland plans upscale hotel

Citing a need for upscale hotel space, the University of Maryland plans to create a four-star luxury hotel and conference center near the school’s main entrance. The $115 million project is expected to create more than 350 permanent jobs in addition to temporary construction jobs and is set for a 2017 opening. Read The Washington Post story here
